This year is going great! I'm not as stressed anymore, and I found a new interest in dancing. ~_~ I would say it is a great stress reliever especially the drums. ~_~ I got my braces off, and I got into my number one school! VANDERBILT!!! YAY!!! ~_~ I never thought I wanted to go anyway so much, and I got in! Some of my friends have applied there too, so maybe they might decide to go. ~_~ Spring Break is coming up so my family and I are going up there to see a friend of mine who is a freshmen there. I'm excited! ~_~ I get to spend some time with him. I haven't seen him in awhile. ~_~ Then after that it will be our Junior/Senior Banquet, and then seniors get out like a week earlier than everybody else! Then we have our graduation and then our PARTY!! YAY!! ~_~ LIFE IS GOOD!! ~_~

The Palace

As the sun shines brightly on a quiet spring day,
The ancient red peaks proudly stand erect.
Although suffering from the many centuries that slowly pass,
The sun-baked tiles lay firmly on top of each other,
While the supporting frames slope downwards curling back up to the heavens.
Thin, delicate rice paper stretched between the wooden panes covers the entrances,
Which rattle silently against the gentle breeze.
The recently polished wooden floors create a winding path
That leads to the core of this magnificent place,
Across the courtyards, and beyond the gardens,
Until a lonely figure can be sseen in the distance,
Overshadowed by blossoming pink trees swaying in the breeze.
What a beautiful sight she is,
With her sleek black strands braided and knotted around her crown
And her petite form wrapped in an array of colors and gold characters.
However, such appearance does not reflect her yearning spirit.
The gentle breeze comforts her as if it understood her despair,
Surrounding her with the fresh, cool yet warm air of spring,
While a rain of silk petals brush against her pale cheeks carrying her tears away,
Giving her hope that one day the prince will love her in return.
